Antara plays original music that integrates jazz and different musical traditions from the Middle East, Turkey, Persia, Balkans, India and more.
The four musicians came together through their common passion for traditional modal music of the orient. Together studying, exploring and falling deeper in love with these musical traditions, we created this special blend of scales,
Maqams, Ragas, rhythms, Usuls and Taalas.
Antara are:
Boaz Attias - Oud.
Mark Kirzhner - Duble Bass.
Lilly-Ann Bezalel - Flute, Ney, Bansuri.
Meron Gelbard - Tombak, Darbukah.
אנטרה מנגנים מוזיקה מקורית המשלבת ג'אז ומסורות מוסיקליות שונות מהמזרח התיכון, טורקיה, פרס, הבלקן, הודו ועוד.
ארבעת הנגנים נפגשו בעקבות תשוקתם המשותפת למוזיקה מודאלית מסורתית מן המזרח. תוך למידה וחקירה משותפים והתאהבות הולכת וגוברת במסורות מוסיקליות אלו, יצרנו יחד תערובת מיוחדת זו של סולמות, מקאמים, ראגות, מקצבים, אוסולים וטאלות.
